Overall good weekend for the club

The weekend results came in early with the Ladies 2s getting given their win on Friday night with Redland failing to get a team together, but that means a 5-0 win, another clean sheet. However they remain in 2nd in the league due to Nailsea's impressive goal difference, but are the only team in the league yet to concede a goal!!!

Ladies 1's Travelled to Mendip hoping to maintain the 100% record and increase their goal difference. They started well with a 4-0 lead by half time, but after the break Mendip came out fast and scored 2 quick goals, this upset our rhythm a bit and Luna got herself a yellow card. Even though down to 10, our Ladies fought back well and scored 3 more goals, resulting in a 7-2 win and being first in the league on goal difference from Gryphons. 3 goals each for Lara Ford and Michelle Harrold, Rebecca Tedford got one goal to go with her card! Charlotte Millington was the player of the Match.

Men's 1s were at home to Exeter Uni B It was a tight game with both defences working well and giving few opportunities. We had a couple of short corners and did well not to concede many, Darshane Theara got our only goal in a game which ended 1-1. We managed not to get any cards and Darsh also got the Hughes Carpentry Man of the Match award.

Men's 2s were away to Westbury and faced a tough game. Rob O was asked about a review, but said that he was getting so annoyed with the game I should ask someone else! However, it appears as though there was some tough umpiring which lead to two goals in the first half from penalty corners for Westbury, but Harry managed to finish off a pass from Fraser to make it 2-1 at the break. In the second half both teams got another goal, ours through Courtney who also picked up a green card. We worked hard and deserved to get something from the game, but ended losing 3-2. Callum Black was the Man of the Match.

The men's 3s had their first home game of the season, against Mid Somerset who were below us in the league. As usual with the 3's there was a different line up to previous weeks and whilst we tried to find our shape Mid Somerset had a good break and well struck finish to get past Rob. We sorted ourselves out and Rich Cormac got his first goal For NSHC. At halftime Venny gave the team a good talking to and we started using our young players on the wings to good effect getting Keith Lanham a goal and then Shaun Huxham getting his first goal for NSHC too, having been flattened by the keeper, but putting away the follow up. A first win for the 3s 3-1!

The juniors played friendlies against Winscombe for U11 and U13 ages after training on Sunday, both teams won in the heavy rain. Their report will have it's own post.
