Will the weather play a part.....

This weekend has lost one match already. The Ladies 2s have clearly scared Redland into submission with three wins on the trot, so they have a 5-0 walkover win. Now four on the bounce, have to see if this puts you top of the league after the weekend.....

Men's 1s are home to Exeter Uni B at 1300. They beat Exeter Uni D 2-1 at the start of the season, so will need a little more quality on the ball, but we had all the possession in the previous game and just couldn't make it count. Let's hope we can make our time on the ball count this week.

Ladies 1s are away to Mendip at 1330 who have lost both their games so far, but on close scorelines. Let's hope we aren't rusty after having last weeks match cancelled. They looked sharp in training and plan on making it three wins to start the league so they aren't over shadowed by the 2s results!

Men's 2s are away at 1530 to Westbury B, looking to bounce back from a loss which didn't reflect the game last week. Some quicker movement and shots on those short corners should see the forwards banging the goals in. Westbury have won both their games to start the season, last week only just getting past their own 'C' team. Start quickly lads and get control of the game.

The Men's 3s are home at 1600 to Mid Somerset, Who were the only team to finish below us last year. They lost their first game of the season 18-0, so expect to have to put plenty of scorers in the results report. The team are looking forward to getting on to a positive note after the bad result last week.

The club house will be open after the games and as Venny and DC are playing in the 3's game finishing just after 5 I suspect the bar will be open for quite a while if you want to come down later on.

The juniors have their training on Sunday morning and then friendlies for U11 and U13 afterwards against Winscombe. It will be good getting more players into games against other clubs. Please come down to support your juniors, the matches will start a little after 11.
