We heard today that the National Hockey Foundation will make a grant of £50k to the club (with some conditions that need to be met) towards the cost of replacement pitch.

This is the culmination of over a year's work in conjunction with England Hockey and our brilliant club representative Barbara Reynolds together with Gordano School Community Trust.

The Community Trust have been successful in getting a grant from Sport England so with our grant and balances built up from pitch fees there are now sufficient funds for the replacement pitch project to go ahead, target time for work to be done in late Spring/early summer 2020 so its ready for the start of next season, with new improved floodlights as part of the project.

We shall post further updates as we know more about timelines etc

The club has also achieved Club Mark status as part of the work needed to be done to get the grant, more about that to follow on a seperate article.
