Drew 1-1 2 head injuries

The men's 2s were away to Old Bristolians and saw the game start in the sun at Failand, but soon changed to having wind and rain, even with some snow thrown in. Both lineups were strong and the teams appeared evenly matched. OBs started well and they got the opening goal, which appeared to be from outside the D, but was allowed. We managed not to let it get us down and we kept the pressure up. However OBs came forward with an attack and won a short corner which was lifted in and caught Fraser Black on the hand, forcing him off for attention. We carried on and kept the presure at the far end, until another break was required when Harry Croker put his forehead in the way of a ball. This time the first aid needed a bit longer and Harry was out of the game. The game continued and we managed not to let the stops affect us, with some neat passing allowing Callum Black to get some revenge for his dad's injury by scoring the equaliser. the second half was just as even with some good saves from Rob O'Neill and pressure from our own forwards. Chris Welsh was moving quickly down the wing until he pulled a hamstring and had to stop. Fraser came back on to cover, but didn't last too long as one of the tackles caused the ball to fly up and caught him in the face putting him out of the game. We battled well with 10 men for the remainder of the game and deserved the 1-1 draw. Tom Broome was the man of the match for the second week in a row.
