vs Bridgwater A

The Men's 2s were second on at home and Captain Rob O'Neill provided the following report:
Men’s two turned up to the game coming if a hard fought draw last week, with a completely different squad due to injuries and people away. But didn’t put a dent in the side as we brought back old faces to mighty North.
We started of the game positively with a lot of good passing around and attacking the goal, with the odd threat from the opposition but came to nothing. We took the lead about 20 minutes into the first half with some great work and passing down are left flank to be crossed in to Mike Hooper to swivel and slot the ball past the Bridgwater keeper.
Second half we dominated and Bridgwater hardly made it into the North D leaving Rob in goal with not a lot to do. North hit the post three times with no one on the re-bound to follow up and put away. We had a few short corners which the Bridgwater keeper kept out and shots from Ben Jones and other north players put straight at him. Bridgwater went down to 10 men due to their player disputing a lifted ball and chucking his stick so was shown a yellow card by Craig and carried on to argue while being spoke to. But North kept their heads and from one of the last short corners North had, with 10 mins to go Callum Black struck a short from top to hit the post and go in to make it 2-0.
North stayed strong and Rob O’Neill came away with his first clean sheet of the season and the win.
