Good draw on the road

North Somerset went down to Bristol and West home ground, and played against Bristol and West C team. The boys got off to a good start gaining position of the ball quickly and applying pressure. Using our new formation North held the ball well and played possession hockey and gaining the upper hand over the team above them in the league. However on a quick counter attack Bristol and West got a short corner and converted it into an early lead. Shortly after they converted another short corner into a 2-0 lead at half time.
Toby made na inspirational team talk to try and boost morale at half time. At the start of the second half North started to get into the flow of their play. They started to play more attacking based hockey and early in the second half Harry played the ball past a defender and shot and Adam got the deflection in. Immediately North’s heads rose and they seemed to gain some confidence in what they were doing. After 2 Short corners North finally got a goal as Toby hit a glory shot bottom left corner and the keeper couldn’t respond. After a questionable celebration from Toby Bristol and West got the game underway and North piled on the pressure and started to look in their element however couldn’t convert any of their chances into goals. So the game ended 2-2. Man of the match was a close call between Chris and Harry, however Harry won out on his classy performance upfront.
