After a good warm up North started strongly and caught Westburys on the back foot. A good early ball into the oppositions D was deflected by Steve Collarbone. The Westbury goal keeper saved the deflection but could not stop the follow up by Shaun Huxham for the opening goal. Westbury started to find their feet in the game and sustained pressure resulted in a short corner. Westbury converted the short corner to draw level. North pressed again and dominated. Several chances were made but not converted. The game again swung Westburys way. Some good play in Norths D resulted in a short corner. Some slick play at the top of the and good stick skills proved to be too much for the defense and as Rob Orton the goal keeper came flying out he caught the Westbury player. Penalty stroke given. Stroke taken confidently and Westbury take the lead. Half time came and went. Early in the second half Westbury pressed hard and and created another opportunity resulting in their 3rd goal. North now had a lot to do. A great run down the left by Callum Black beating 3 players hitting the base line and then putting the ball across the D for Jack Collin to put away. North were back in the hunt. The next goal was crucial. North pushed forward again. They worked the ball left and the ball was crashed into the D. Again Shaun Huxham was in the right place at the right time and deflected the ball into the goal. North work very hard to keep Westbury at bay for the last 10 minutes of the game.
