Ladies 1's v Bristol Uni 3's

A late start at Coombe Dingle saw an eager North wanting to take the game to a seemingly unorganised Uni team.
North held there own in the first half and were rewarded with a well earned goal from debutant Georgie Mott from a neat pass and play move from Emma Tilley.
Morrish, Lyndsey and Parslow were solid in defence, frustrating the Uni forwards. Golding also staying strong and making many invaluable saves.
Northern second goal came within the first half when a Uni hit out was intercepted by Harrold and passed to Tilley who took on the keeper and won.
Uni reconfigured in the second half and came at North with strength, but Coats and Middlemass worked tirelessly in the midfield to hold them off. Plews, L Morrish and Sandford continuously attacking the Uni defence but not breaking through the new formation.
A questionable goal from Uni came in the mid second half to a short corner routine when Uni players were being subbed, but North battled to maintain their lead with Smith holding off the attack.
