This was expected to be an even match as North were just above Westberries in the league. Westberries came out strong but North responded likewise. The game was end to end with great attacking from the forwards Jo Withers, Milli Bryant, Maddie Moutford, Maddie Welsh and Poppy Adams supported by a strong midfield of Claire Sheffield, Phoebe Gibson and Heidi Hutchings . The teams hard work eventually paid off with some excellent attacking skills from Milli Bryant who scored the first goal. The defence of Amy Blenkinsopp, Jordaine Minchin, Lily Carling and Jane Bennett with Helen Riddell strong in goal fended off attacks from Westberries during the first half. North had several good attacks and Jo scored from a short corner shortly before half time. Heidi extended North's lead in the second half following an inter change of passes from a side line ball near the corner. North worked hard throughout the game but an attack from Westberries resulted in a late goal and Helen Riddell made a couple of crucial saves near the end to maintain the two goal margin. This was however the second game that North had not conceded a penalty corner, testament to the discipline of the North defence. The final score was 3-1 to North.
