The u12s played their first festival of the season at Yate this Sunday.

The games were played in two batches of back to back fixtures, with only one 20 minute break in the middle so it was tiring work for our young players.

The results did not go our way, with losses 2-0 to Firebrands, 5-0 to Old B's , then a 1-1 draw against Bath Buccs D with a goal from Harry F and finally another 2-0 defeat to Bath Buccs C.

The team played some good hockey though, with plenty of passages of good passing and as they increase in confidence in front of goal to get shots away earlier many more goals will follow in future festivals. There was also lots of determined defending and tackling, and Seb in goal made a lot of saves, with most of the goals coming from follow up shots.

With a big pool of players we will be rotating the squads for these festivals to try and share the Festival match experience out amongst the wider group across the season.
