10:15 - Westbury & United BKs – A
1-0 WIN
Barney 1
A great confident early start again for Barney, chipping a high ball into the back of the net excellently fed into the D by Lexie and Oscar.
Good pressure throughout from the mid-fielders, Katie and Lexie, working tirelessly winning the ball back.
A couple of great shots from Oscar shooting across the goal mouth narrowly missing a chip in from his team mates.
First short corner of the match in our D, brilliantly defended by Millie and Lexie and cleared up the field to waiting Katie and Charlie.
Great start to the day with North Somerset keeping the ball in the other team’s half most of the game.
10:55 - Devizes
0-2 LOSS
A tough game against Devizes, despite sterling defence and nimble foot work from Toby in goal Devices slipped a first past the defence at 5mins in and a second at 7mins.
For the remainder the midfielders passed well between Charlie, Oscar, Barney and Will’s debut into the festival seeing great team work to keep any more balls out of our goal.
11:35 - Redland
1-0 WIN
Charlie 1
This match we see Charlie taking a 1 goal lead 7 mins in. The rest of the match saw Redland trying their hardest to get an equaliser with Toby on top form, Millie on strong defence along with Lexie pushing the ball way up the pitch to Katie and the awaiting front line!
12:35 - Team Bath Buccs - B
1-1 EVENS
Oscar 1
After a double match break, some E numbers and a good run around to rest, the team were well warmed up for their final match!!
NS kept the pressure on this team throughout, Millie defending the ball from the goal and Lexie’s determination to win the ball back at any cost! Great attack from the front Katie, Charlie and Oscar passing well between them, frustrated by the lack of pocket money this week Oscar wins the ball in our D pushes it up the field helped by Millie and Charlie finally passing to Oscar to take NS 1-0 up.
Shortly before the whistle, Bath sneaked a goal past our keeper levelling the day off with a 1-1 score.
All in all another cracking effort from the U10’s, a performance to be proud of! Till the next time.
